Top Ten
The Best Chameleon Players Productions In The World (Ever)!
a

They say actors are the worst judges of their own performance but, to celebrate our 50th production, we thought it might be fun to ask the current membership and some long-standing (or long-suffering) members of the audience to vote for, and comment on, their favourite Chameleon Productions. Some people got so carried away they nominated a Worst Production, too! (And there's quite a few to choose from) The individual lists were then put through a fiendishly complicated scoring system - comprising quantum physics, probability theory and just tossing a coin - to obtain the final line-up of our greatest productions EVER.  So here it is - totally self-indulgent and of no interest to anyone outside the group itself. But if only we could get Channel 4 interested.....

Quintet In A Flat (1989)

Everyone pulling together to get the thing on in six weeks. The first performance of mine that I actually felt satisfied with. And what ever became of that lovely girl who played Ludmilla? David

2

Our Country's Good (2000)

The most moving and well acted production that I’ve ever been involved with Maurice

3

Rosencrantz & Guildenstern Are Dead (1997)

Brought out the latent Tomboy in me. Top marks to Ray and Jonathan for really classy performances and extraordinary conviction in two stonking roles Sharon

4

Epsom Downs (1997)

Damn good play - lots of variety in character. Not many people can say they've played a race meeting! Joanne

5

Farndale Avenue Murder Mystery (1990)

The most fun I’ve had with a play Ray

6

Macbeth (2001) I got to be king at the end. Wish I'd had a swordfight though Steve

7

Two For Tea (1999) Very funny, great acting, and what a script Phil

8

Book Of The Month (1987)

My first play with the Chameleon Players. Had a chance to wear a negligee and vamp it up! Ailsa

9

Is There Anybody There? &c (2000) For that terrifying séance Andy

10

Black Comedy &c (1991) Excellent entertainment and a bargain for everyone who came Jenny
